ADULT-ONLY EVENT

In order to provide an intimate and enjoyable experience for all of our guests, we kindly request that this be an adult-only event. This includes the ceremony, reception, and all other wedding-related festivities.

02THE RSVP

To make the RSVP process as simple and convenient as possible, our wedding planners will be managing RSVPs through WhatsApp.

03THE WEDDING REGISTRY

While your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift, details about our registry will be available on our website starting August 20th should you wish to honor us with an additional gift.

04 THE HOTELS

We recommend booking your accommodations in downtown San Miguel. This will put you in walking distance to the ceremony venue, as well as a variety of restaurants, shops, and other attractions for you to explore during your free time.

05TRAVEL

After arriving in Mexico, the best way to get to San Miguel is through a car service. You can find our recommendations related to flights, experiences and many more details for your trip here

San Miguel De Allende is considered one of the safest cities in Mexico and has been named one of the Best Small Cities in the world for a reason.

We’ve heard some compare San Miguel De Allende to the Santa Barbara or Austin of Mexico. It’s artsy, wealthy, and upscale. The city also thrives off of tourism, and around 10% of their population are retirees from America and Canada.

We have always felt welcome and safe, even walking around at night. We feel safer there, than in many cities in the USA. However, as with any travel, exercise common sense.

Yes, you’ll need to download the WhatsApp messaging app. We’ll be managing RSVPs through WhatsApp, and the companies handling your transportation and accommodations in Mexico will likely use it to communicate with you as well. WhatsApp allows you to message and share information without incurring international fees. Please make sure to download and familiarize yourself with the app before your trip.

Yes, we suggest carrying some cash and converting it to Mexican pesos upon arrival in Mexico. While you can use credit cards in most places, cash is helpful for paying for taxis, tipping and shopping in the city. Like with anywhere, you are going to get a better rate outside the airport, so would suggest an exchange house or a bank when you get into the city. As an additional tip, we’d recommend using an ATM and when asked to accept their exchange rate «decline» in order to default to your banks exchange rate which in most all cases is more favorable.

Most streets and sidewalks in the city are cobblestone, so please be mindful of this when packing your shoes.

Yes, please make sure your passport is valid, or leave ample time to renew or get one. Passports generally take 7-10 weeks + mailing time.

While our planners will be managing RSVPs via WhatsApp, if you already know whether you will or will not be joining us, letting us know via email (gabiandcoby@gmail.com) would greatly assist our planning.

If you decide to stay in a rental property instead of a hotel for our wedding in Mexico, many rental properties offer the option to hire a local service that can take care of your grocery shopping, prepare delicious breakfasts, and handle daily cleaning. This service is typically very reasonably priced and can greatly enhance your stay. If you’re interested in taking advantage of this service, please reach out to the person or platform you’re booking through for more details.

No, guests from North America should not need a power converter or adapter. For Mexico there are two plug types, types A, which is the most common, and B. Plug type A is the plug which has two flat parallel pins and plug type B is the plug which has two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin. Mexico operates on a 127V supply voltage and 60Hz. For most travelers, the slight differences in voltage and frequency won’t necessitate special equipment like voltage converters since most modern electronics are designed to handle a range. To be sure, check the label on your devices and exercise caution with items such as Dyson hair tools.

It’s best to drink bottled water during your stay. Avoid ice unless you are certain it is made from purified water.

No, in order to provide an intimate and enjoyable experience for all of our guests, we kindly request that this be an adult-only event. This includes the ceremony, reception, and all other wedding-related festivities.

Many carriers have Mexico talk, text and data roaming allowances as part of your plan. Please be sure to check with your service provider before you travel to find out what is covered.

On the lower end, a car from Queretaro to San Miguel is $100 USD + $20 Tip. On the higher end, a suburban could be as much as $250 USD + tip. Keep in mind the number of passengers and bags you have when booking transportation. For 2 passengers and luggage we would recommend a standard compact car, but for groups any larger we’d recommend a mini van or suburban.
